Another hot designer who’s managed to pull off the handbag thing.. welcome to my world Zac Posen. Thank you for adding some interest to the fall/winter handbag lineup. It seems everyone else has fallen asleep at the wheel. Wake up everyone!

I first saw the Abbey Iconic Tote a few weeks back on Intermix Online. I loved the classic saddle bag feel to this off-set by the very un-classic rich purple leather. The straps looks comfortable, the perfect length to fit over the shoulder. Although a shorter strap would have made for a more refined bag.

Then when I saw the Antonia Patent Leather Bag here below I was even more excited for Christmas. Not that I’m really going to get this for Xmas but hey it’s still exciting to think about the possibilities. Actually to be honest now that I’m going on 1 year of marriage I think the handbag gift days are over.. So back to funding my own obsessions!

I’m so impressed with this blue color Zac chose for the bag. I ask myself do I have the balls to buy this… What would I wear with it? Am I ready to pull off such a thing? In general my rule of thumb is to only spend this much if it’s for something I could wear often. BUT this bag is so juicy I feel like I’d be ok with it just sitting in my closet.

Aaaarhhh why didn’t I just get them when I wanted them?? I think I’ve lost them forever. The Loeffler Randall Emmy Belted Boot is hot! I have this sick problem of sitting on purchases. e.g. I find something I want and tell myself that I’ll come back later and get it. Of course I usually never do and if I do actually come back then it’s sold out. How do I get over this? On the flip side, I hate it when I pull the trigger prematurely and buy something that I really shouldn’t have — like this leopard print cocktail dress I got the other day. When will I learn I just can’t pull the animal thing off?

Anyhow, if you come across something you really love and you still love it a few days later I say just go for it. Don’t lose your love of the season like me

What I love about these boots:

• The heel looks like the perfect height for everyday wear, not too high, not too low, and the right amount of support that ends in a nice pointed end.
• The leather looks so soft and nice! And it doesn’t look too thick so I could wear these under pants as well as with skirts and leggings.
• The ring with the leather banded around the ankle area gives the boot a classy touch.

The hunt will only continue…

I can’t recall if I’ve blogged about my little Rocky but he’s a 3 year old Shih Tzu who my husband and I semi-adopted. He’s actually my sister-in-law’s dog who we started dog-sitting and it turned into a more permanent solution. We struggled for a long time trying to decide whether to keep him or not. We hadn’t planned on making such a big change to our daily schedules. Taking care of a dog is a lot of work. Think twice or 10 times! before you get one. But now, I am so in love with him I feel horrible for ever trying to give hin away (we actually tried a few times … Sorry Rocky!!

Rocky doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. I’ve never met a dog who was so fond of people. Once I left him tied up outside Starbucks and I observed him from inside. Every time someone walked by I’d see Rocky’s tail start wagging away and he’d smile up at the person, but most of the time the person hadn’t even seen him and walked on by w/o a second glance. Rocky would just stand there tail wagging for a few seconds then finally trail off after he was alone again. He just repeated the same cycle over and over again. My heart twinged each time I saw Rocky greet a passer-by with no love in return. He was so happy-helpless! Absolutely no concept of dislike or rejection. Such a sweetheart.

This is a typical spot for Rocky to hang out — the living room couch, waiting for my Mom to come and pick him up for the day (my Mom babysits Rocky during the weekdays).

Now that you’ve met Rocky let me share with you a few of the dog beds I found in my search for Rocky’s perfect bed. I didn’t realize there was such a big market for dog beds.

I found these here below at Simply Devine Finds.com. They were so cute but a little crazy. What do you think?  The Bowie bed is adorable but just a little too cutesy for my room. At the same time, we have our suspicions that Rocky could be gay so this could be appropriate.

I’m back from Cabooooo… 1 shade darker, 5 pounds thicker. To tell you the truth I can summarize our trip with just a few words: Pico de Gallo, tacos, cuban cigars, massages, cabanas. It was the relaxation I needed so badly, but yet the minute I got back it felt like I’d never left. Is that good? I don’t know myself.. Anyhow, I’ve misplaced my sd card reader so can’t download my pictures! I hope so soon and will share some of our simple but special memories.

So back to my post… have any of you noticed the great ads Samsung has been kicking out? I LOVE that one of the guy doin some crazy breakdancing. I thought it was an iPOD ad but better. So I went to youtube to search for it but it wasn’t there. Instead I found a bunch of other pretty interesting ads from Samsung which really made we realize how cool they are now! I love Samsung so much more now just because of these ads. Yes, I’m a consumer whore.

I included this Any Call (a Korean mobile carrier) ad with Hyori (famous Korean star) which was catchy too. And yes i do like to stare at pretty girls. Who doesn’t??

Hey all~ so this is my first i-post (by i-phone)… hoping to do more of these so can blog on the run.

Anyway, I’m at lax heading to Cabot. Sitting on plane waiting for our pilot who’s “stuck in traffic”. That’s a first for me. Just a few minutes ago i was standing in line buying my bazaar and us mags for the flight and i see this girl with big messy hair and big messy bag in front of me so I started checkin her out some more. She turns around and she looks trashed like super strung out on drugs or something and needing shower BAD. Then I look up and behind those oversized sunglasses I realize its MK! And of course standing right next to her is Ashley Olsen! I was so excited i wanted a pic to share with u all but the second i busted out my iphone their body guard looked at me and told me not to. That sucked. Anyway, so the muppet twins look really messy in real life. It’s funny to me how they just don’t look like normal people. You can just tell they are not like you and me. From the looks in their eyes to the way they carry themselves.. just not average.

The fashion lowdown.. MK was in a thick ribbed grey sweater dress with black ankle boots, bare legs. I didn’t notice what Ashley had on but they both had the big round shades.

I’m starting to find these "X+Y" designer brands a bit obnoxious.. I mean why not just make up a name for yourselves. Create a real brand! I will say that Alice + Olivia was the first one I had every really noticed so I’m cool with them, and I worship their clothes so it’s even more all good with me!

But in any case, I also have been really loving all the bags from Foley + Corinna so I might just have to be ok with this brand name too. Their style seems to work well with my inclination towards slouchy-but-with-some-structure-and-not-a-weapon shapes.

I have yet to actually buy a Foley + Corinna bag. I mean who has ever seen their bag in person? Not me. I’m very tempted to reach out and touch this tote bag though!

I love a simple clean line and this one’s got it. At the same time I don’t want a plain boring bag and this one’s got some simple detailing that gives it juuust enough. Notice the dainty gold braiding below the bag strap — NOT the oversized anchor chains on most bags these days… notice the few strands of leather straps — NOT the messy cow girl look of some other strappy bags… yay!

Foley + Corinna Le Tote Sac

Hmmm… i do like! Although my very round face has never been very complemented by aviators I can’t help but stay away from them. Check out this nice pair from Thakoon. A lot of the other aviators I see these days are either overly oversized or have some bizarre colored rims. If I already look a little goofy with them on I should at least stay away from the tacky colors. The grey color below is perfect!
