New Favorite Designer: Hanii Y

Feminine but edgy, Hanii Y’s style has captured my eye and good thing I’m preggers bc she would have cleaned out my savings. She’s got the flair of a Korean designer.. with a feminine and flirty accent but tough enough to hold an edge. Perfect for you confidently bold fashionistas out there! I’m really drooling over the Ruffled Blouse (below). Tempting…

Still drooling..

And of course the quintessential Korean style blouse — with attached necklace!! haha.. Koreans should go down in the books for design.

Julie Hewett Ora Mineral Foundation Powder

People tell me I’ve got that pregnancy glow but the truth is I think it’s my makeup. I’ve been using a new brand of mineral foundation by Julie Hewett. If you have never tried it, you’ve got to give it a chance. It’s a miracle what mineral foundation can do to the skin. No matter how thick or full the coverage, liquid and cream foundations can’t get you that flawless but natural look. I’ve been loyal for years to the Bare Essentials brand until about a month ago when Maria of the Product Store in Santana Row convinced me to try a new brand — Julie Hewett. Unlike Bare Essentials powder you don’t need to crush the powder with your brush before applying, it just goes on smooooth and feels kinda silky on the skin. I use the medium tone and it gives my skin a nice healthy glow. Apparently, there’s another brand the Product store will be stocking in a few weeks which contains an anti-aging mineral. I’ll be all over that!

So give it a try.. you won’t be disappointed. And don’t be surprised if people secretly wonder if you got knocked up recently!

L.A.M.B. Ryder Wyatt in Marigold

Ahhh how refreshing for Spring! I’m getting all perky just looking at this bag in Marigold from L.A.M.B.  I feel the need to juicen up my closet for the coming summer and this bag dropped in just in time. At first I thought it was a Marc Jacobs design with how the zippers and handle are shaped. The bag is under $500.. but will have to see if the quality stands up to the price. I’m not much of a colorista these days but I think I could swing this with anything black, white, neutral/beige, or grey.

Available @eluxury.com for $495

Who's the Luxe Mix?

I wouldn't qualify myself as anything official when it comes to fashion but I might officially qualify as a shopaholic. To keep from going broke I have learned to mix the luxe with the less, the cheap with the chic. I'm a technology junkie in addition to being hopelessly fashion obsessed so while I am a corporate UX designer by day, by night I am an obsessively compulsively working up visions of a splendid online fashion retail nirvana. Contact me if you want my input on how to transform your fashion house into a mass-tech-revolutionized business.
