PS. Post-shopping-splurge (generally about 48 hours after the thrill of the kill), both Snoopy and I had some post-shopping second thoughts. I may return at least 1 pair of the 2 pants that I bought, and 1 top. BTW, both these items didn’t make the cut to get featured in my video. The power of the subconscious…

Before watching this video let me explain… As you know from my previous post I was drooling over the LV Camouflage/Monogramouflage Speedy. Thanks to one of my best GFs I was alerted the LV in Valley Fair had a few of them in stock. I believe they told us that there were like 5,000 units in total and their store had received 5 of them. I did some unthinkable things to get to the store in time to scope my precious out… but… but… I was totally disappointed! It looked scary big and just scary to me in person. I think that’s the problem with looking at a product photo for too long. You get disillusioned. Long story short I didn’t want it anymore (which i regret more now since I’m getting more used to it!) and I got this other bag which.. just watch… overall my story just sucks but I figured I might as well make a video!!

Lately while fingering through the racks at the mall I haven’t been able to tell whether it’s a top or a dress,
and the guys are wondering whether we’ve left the house w/o our pants
on. Yes.. that means the mini or should i say micro dress is very much
in these days. I’m going to have to kick it up a little at my
kickboxing this month if I want to be ready for this summer trend..

Arielle Kebbel — perfect!

Alex Vega — I’m really into sexy back so I’ll overlook these shoes.

Nay on Rihanna’s hair but I love the unique pattern of this floor length dress. It suits her style perfectly for a Red Carpet look.

Lauren Conrad — her hair is perfect with this dress.. again overlooking the shoes.

I’m a little disappointed with Jessica Alba’s outfit since she normally knocks it out but she still looks good as usual. Again, what’s is wrong with everyone’s shoe selections??

This looks like a classic BCBG dress… Paris’ shoes did it for me though. Classic, safe…

Too safe with legs like that. I suppose the legs are the centerpiece..

Maybe it’s her pose, maybe it was how she just blends into the backdrop
– how unfortunate is that?, or maybe it’s just the fredericks of
hollywood feel of the dress… Victoria normally looks posh to me but
all I’m feeling on her are those pretty little silver points.

This look screams overage seductress.

I’ve noticed lately that my work/professional style has been slipping. It prolly has a lot to do with my Forever21 obession. I keep stocking up on cute trendy pieces… fit for a 21 yr old. Damn it. I need to restrain myself a little more… Look your age girl!

I spent the last hour focusing on work-ready wear and here’s a look I put together on Polyvore (See "THE" Tool for Helping to Decide What to Wear — Polyvore"). BTW Polyvore just added a color-picker so you can filter the items in the editor down by color. It’s pretty helpful if you like to use the items everyone else has added to polyvore. I find it easier to just find my own clothes and add them myself.

What I like about my work look:

1. A big a** bag for all my junk (Anna Corina Black Patent Leather Tote). All of you who know me know how much crap I tote around with me. I’m the girl you want with you when you stain your shirt, or get stuck in an elevator — always got snacks on me
2. A crisp shirt, structured just enough to not make me look fat. Yes, i do feel fat sometimes (fat is relative I tell you).
3. Flat shoes… I know I’m getting older as my average heel height shrinks.

Jessica’s trying out another look. I’d say try again. But hey at least she’s trying!

This look could work for the new Hot Dog on a Stick uniform. I would have gone with gold strappy heels… Regardless, Eva still looks great.

Korean actors and actresses sure know how to get dolled up… but these brothers and sisters need to learn how to work that Red Carpet.  I’m going to have to send word back to Korea to work on that Red Carpet pose and wave.

In any case, how excited was I when I found these photos in Wireimage?

All in all sexy legs and backs were big. White/ light hues also were a dominant theme. Here’s the best and the worst of it.

The tiered dress is going strong… I luve it. They are comfy comfy and are awesome for covering the post-dinner pot bellies.

Han Ye-Sul

Too much white for me here but still look nice. She should have gone with some gold open toe stilettos or peep toes for a more appropriate Red Carpet Look. She looks like she’s having a good time though! Definitely the most natural looking out of them all.

Son Ye-Jin

Nice hue and I like  the draped effect of the dress.

Yum Jung-Ah

This is a nice take on a snakeskin print.

Park Si-Yeon

I can’t quite tell but Si-Yeon’s hair is either way LUXE  or really SUXE.  You be the judge. The back of her gown is very flattering. I would love a dress like this!

April 10 was the premiere for "Perfect Stranger". Halle Berry… gurl is lookin’ good. I’d like to age reversely too!

Halle Berry — Luxe

Berry Berry good. I am feelin’ the dress, with the shoes, with the backdrop. That takes some coordination. Check out how her heel insets match the red carpet and text behind her. The dress has a unique neckline, not just a standard whatever you call that neck but I love how the two straps connect into a Y. Y Strap?

Clea Lewis — Suxe

Clea, you look lost. Were you on your way to church or to a gathering of home dressmakers. Well I must hand it to you — you do match the red carpet too!

Christy Turlington — Luxe

This barely qualifies because I’d NEVER pick out that top for myself. But Christy has her Outfit Composition down. I love that she was a little daring with those ankle boots and black opaque tights. The thin black sash was a must in order to "tie" the look together. And her lacy somethin’ somethin’  peeking out from under her demure tunic is deceptively innocent. She also picked the perfect hairstyle to complement this frilly girly outfit — clean, straight, simple.

Julia Stiles — Suxe

Julia Hoolia! What were you thinking? You should have saved this for Easter. This dress is for women twice your age… or at least NOT the red carpet. I also am not feelin’ the Amish pumps to further frump this look out.

Adriana Lima — Suxe

This look is playboy bunny-esque and I’m hoping that’s not what Adriana was going for. If she was well good job gurl!

So overall… I am un-enthused about the style factor here at the Perfect Stranger Premiere other than the featured star Halle herself. Maybe that’s the cardinal unspoken rule. Do not look better than the star. I can live with that!

Luxe Do

Lindsay looks fashionable in an effortless way with this outfit. It seems as though she just carelessly tossed these pieces together and walked out the door. The truth is she probably had her stylist (someone like Rachel Zoe if she still works for her) pick out this ensemble for her. Putting a look together that looks effortlessly stylish actually takes a lot of effort.

What’s Working

Skinny jeans and flats work so well together. I say make the most out of these two trends and throw them together! Skinny jeans can be tricky as you may know so personally I’d only pair them with either flats like these or some super super hot stilettos.

The sleek hardware of the belt peeking out from under a rock star tee is the perfect mix of grunge with first class. I love the fact that a white moto jacket is thrown over the tee instead of the usual denim or black crop jacket.

The way she’s done her hair loose and flared is also the perfect complement to her look, along with her aviators. The usual Hollywood oversized shades would have definitely killed this rock and roll look.

Luxe Don’t

As you can see here we will all have our on and off days. Either Rachel just wasn’t available on this day or this is a new cutting edge trend I am not up to speed on.

What’s Not Working Here

When did pegging your jeans ever come back into style? I have some really unpleasant memories of partaking in this trend back in the 80’s. I always felt like I couldn’t get them pegged tight enough. I still to this day do not understand how this was ever perceived as stylish… or how I could have been so naive to believe I looked good like that!

I’m also not feeling this orange leather jacket… with that grandmotherly scarf dragging alongside of her. And what dear girl is up with those jeans?  They look like the most standard pair of Levi’s ever made. I expect so much more than Lindsay. Anyone could have picked these up from JC Penny’s or Sears. Overall a dirtier rinse denim can up the style factor… when in doubt err on the side of dirty over classic blue denim.

Camille Winbush at the “Disturbia” Los Angeles Premiere

The cut of Camille’s bouse is cute but with those wide leg jeans she looks frumped out! The flowy tips of the blouse draw your eyes to her midsection… which doesn’t seem to work well on this figure. If I were her I’d stay away from these handkerchief blouses. If you do wear this kind of top it should be paired with more a more streamlined bottom, like skinny/narrow tailored pants or leggings.

I can’t stress how important the fit of your clothes are. If you look closely Camille’s blouse is drooping all over the place.  She could have tied it tighter around her neck.

I’m also NOT feeling this combo of cork platforms with those heavy looking wide leg jeans.
