remixing fashion and luxury for reality

Video is a huge part of my life due to the work I do. So when I was tipped off by BagSnobs that VogueTV had launched I was like wow! Video and Fashion.. are they really coming together? So far any attempts at merging fashion and video technology, or even fashion and TV to say the least has been nyeeeh… Of course other than Project Runway.

After watching one video clip on VogueTV I wasn’t blown away.. but I did sit through the entire video. That’s statistically impressive — who actually watches whole videos on the Internet? The Bagsnobs mentioned there was some way of shopping for the items in the video so I was on the look out for that. I’m a sucker for any kind of shopping/technology twist… but I was sadly disappointed with how they implemented this feature. They could have revolutionized the fashion world with this! I was envisioning floating “buy” buttons.. drag and drop shopping carts..  virtual fashion reality!!! This was more like YouTube dressed in Express clothing. booo..

At least it’s a good sign that the Fashion world is dabbling in video and technology. Hopefully one day we will have the high-tech fashion experience where you can try on that D&G leopard jumpsuit comfortably from your leather chaise at home and click a button to have it shipped out overnight priority, sans the credit card check-out process.

Did some damage at Santana Row this weekend.. then decided to put on my own fashion show. Lucky you get front row seats HAHA!

PS. Post-shopping-splurge (generally about 48 hours after the thrill of the kill), both Snoopy and I had some post-shopping second thoughts. I may return at least 1 pair of the 2 pants that I bought, and 1 top. BTW, both these items didn’t make the cut to get featured in my video. The power of the subconscious…

This is a big first step for me so no laughing and making fun of me!!! My Mom already told me I’m really boring… and she’s right HAHA! I watched it over again and realize I sound like a robot. I’ll need to work on being more natural in front of the camera. Talk to you guys later…

I’m back from Cabooooo… 1 shade darker, 5 pounds thicker. To tell you the truth I can summarize our trip with just a few words: Pico de Gallo, tacos, cuban cigars, massages, cabanas. It was the relaxation I needed so badly, but yet the minute I got back it felt like I’d never left. Is that good? I don’t know myself.. Anyhow, I’ve misplaced my sd card reader so can’t download my pictures! I hope so soon and will share some of our simple but special memories.

So back to my post… have any of you noticed the great ads Samsung has been kicking out? I LOVE that one of the guy doin some crazy breakdancing. I thought it was an iPOD ad but better. So I went to youtube to search for it but it wasn’t there. Instead I found a bunch of other pretty interesting ads from Samsung which really made we realize how cool they are now! I love Samsung so much more now just because of these ads. Yes, I’m a consumer whore.

This one has "Poppin" Hyun Joon in it which is pretty fun. This is most like the one I saw on TV today.

I included this Any Call (a Korean mobile carrier) ad with Hyori (famous Korean star) which was catchy too. And yes i do like to stare at pretty girls. Who doesn’t??
