For years, I thought putting together a great outfit meant finding the perfect combination.
So I’d overthink every detail.
The funny thing is, I’d already spent years learning style. I knew what good proportions looked like. I knew how to balance a silhouette. I knew which colors and textures worked together.
What I didn’t always trust… was myself.
As I’ve grown, I’ve realized that style isn’t just something you learn. It’s also something you allow yourself to express.
Now I get dressed one piece at a time. I still rely on everything I’ve learned over the years—but I don’t fight my intuition anymore.
This look came together in minutes.
Not because it was random.
Because years of learning finally met self-trust.
Welcome to Summer Dinners Series, where I’ll be sharing the outfits I’m actually wearing this season, why they work, and the little lessons they remind me of along the way.
What’s one thing you’ve learned to trust yourself more on lately? I hope to find all of you out there who are trying to overcome a fear or perfection or finding your inner voice and self expression. It’s a long and lonely journey. Hang in there ♥️
